HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR CURRICULUM: We Explore: South America is a STEM and arts-integrated curriculum. We Explore: South America is a national standards-based curriculum that lends itself to deep learning due to the nature of the content. Combining the Reader and Activity Pages maximizes learning by creating cross-curricular experiences that promote information retrieval, skill development, and skill transference, helping your child grow as a creative and critical thinker.

The Reader is the information and background builder for the content of the course.

• The level 1 Reader is written at a 3rd grade level and is intended for approximately K - 2nd grade students. The level 1 reader is a simplified version of the content. It is still full of important and engaging topics, but it written to be easily digested for young learners.

• The level 2 Reader is written at a 6th grade level and is intended for approximately 3rd - 6th grade students. Level 2 is our mid-range reader. This reader is perfect for students who are beginning to learn independently.

• The level 3 Reader is written at a 10th grade level and is intended for approximately 6th - 12th grade students. The level 3 Reader has significantly more content and information than the level 2 and level 1 Readers. Level 3 should be used by the facilitator to maximize background knowledge on the content of the course.

The Activity Pages is the learning experience. This is where your child will engage in STEM, the arts, language arts, history, and more.

• The level 1 Activity Pages is intended for approximately K - 2nd grade students.

• The level 2 Activity Pages is intended for approximately 3rd - 6th grade students.

• The level 3 Activity Pages is is intended for approximately 7th - 12th grade students.

Please see our curriculum sample to choose the best leveling for your child. Be sure to mix and match as needed! For example, if you have a 9th grader, 6th grader, and 3rd grader, you may benefit from combining the level 3 Reader with the level 2 and level 3 Activity Pages in order to teach in tandem.
